1. Will a user be counted as a hit, if he enters the site several times?
We count the number of unique visitors, this means that a person visiting the site several times will only be counted once. We do, however, reset this every 20 minutes. Because of that a user will be counted two times, if he enters at time=0 and then again at time=21 (time counted in minutes).
2. How many countes may I register for my website?
We allow unlimited counters per website. We do, however, recommend you to register only one counter per website - but it is just a piece of advice.
3. I have another counter at my page, why doesn't they show the same value?
As mentioned in #1, we store the visitors for 20 minutes, apparently the other counter doesn't do that.
4. What kind of counters can I use?
We offer two different kind of counters: the text counter and the graphical counter. The text counter has different ways of being displayed, which are mentioned at the setup pages and in the installation guide. If you want the graphical counter, you choose a "theme", an image file, and afterwards you choose which text and value you want to have displayed (as an example: total hits: [show_all_hits]).
5. Must the counter be placed at my front-page or is it optional?
We don't mind where the counter is placed. But the counter doesn't count hits from pages, where the counter isn't located. So if you want to make sure that you count every single visitor, you might consider putting the counter at several pages.
6. Can I insert the counter at more than one website?
The website specified at the setup page is the very only site the counter counts. All hits from other sites will not be included in the statistics, so it makes no sense to put the counter at other websites.
Please notice that the counter can be inserted at different pages (index.htm, me.htm, family.htm), but only one site (www.your-site.com).
